3 Possible Destinations For Michael Vick

Let’s face it: not a lot of teams want to take a chance on Michael Vick. He has spent a significant amount of time in jail for dogfighting-related charges, and there are still plenty of questions about his character.

According to a report published by ESPN, Michael Vick could come to an agreement with a team as early as this week. So, where are three likely destinations for the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback?

Miami Dolphins. While Miami has come out publicly and said they have no interest in Vick, one cannot help but think about the kind of impact he would have in their Wildcat offense.

Having Ronnie Brown and Michael Vick in the backfield at the same time would be a scary thought for many opposing defenses, and with teams like the Jets and Patriots gunning for the division title, the Dolphins cannot afford to let this possible asset fall through. While reports may say otherwise, one cannot help but think that Miami has considered the idea.

Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings would be an interesting landing spot for Vick, who would join up with an offense well-suited to his skill set. Minnesota could use him as a triple-threat player: a passer (considering their shaky quarterback situation), a runner (out of the backfield with Adrian Peterson), and a receiver.

Brad Childress drafted Percy Harvin out of Florida in the 2009 draft: a speedy wide receiver who will revolutionize the passing game for the Vikings. With Vick, a speedy weapon coming out of their backfield in three different ways, it would make for a challenging defensive game plan for any team.

Oakland Raiders. Owner Al Davis has an unhealthy obsession with speed, and Vick seems to fit the mold of a player the Raiders would sign. They could be surprised: a small investment in Vick would really help them out, especially considering how questionable JaMarcus Russell has been under center.

The Raiders should not be considered a longshot in the Vick talks: he could easily end up there.

Where do you believe Vick will sign?
