I’m glad that I was able to get onto WordPress today.
With social networks spazzing off the wazoo this morning, many frantic Tweeps, Facebook users, and even Pandora users flocked to the blogs.
In what Twitter coined as a “Denial-of-Service” attack (currently on Trending Topics), the website was down for a while this morning. As Twitter continues to recover and defend against the attack, users should expect the website to be on-and-off, at least for the rest of the day.
My TweetDeck is going nuts, with people asking “Is Twitter back up finally?”. Tweets of joy and anger are present as well.
Facebook also had issues this morning, with many users reporting issues with “Liking” statuses and pages. In addition, several error messages popped up randomly, at least for me, at sporadic times.
A Pandora user also Tweeted about Christmas music being played on his rock station (Twitter Search is missing Tweets at the moment, so I can’t find the user :/).
With all of these social networking sites malfunctioning, what are you doing instead?
